Traveling to a new city is always a terrific experience accompanied by certain feelings of uncertainty. During my recent visit to Ghaziabad, I planned my schedule in such a way to help me understand their and history of the city well enough to have the endearing ambiance of the place. Let me take you through a day in the life of a discoverer.
Morning: Explorations of Ghaziabad’s Past
7 AM — 10 AM : Breakfast at Pahalwan Dhaba
I started my day with a lovely breakfast in the Dhaba called Pahalwan Dhaba, which is a local favourite. The parathas were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside; they accompanied the salty lassi well. The first foods that I tasted were the true representations of what North Indian food really is.
8:30 AM — The Morning; Peace & Solace at ISKCON Temple
I was fully satiated when I proceeded to the ISKCON Temple after that. It was rather serene and I found that quite fascinating. I took some time and sat and marvelled at the calmness of the atmosphere and beauty of the structures.
10:00 AM — Nature’s Haven: The concept selected for discussion is called the City Forest
Subsequently, I proceeded to what is famously known as the City Forest, an(open) greens I had heard much about. Rolling grasslands and tweeting bird made it a quite environment. It was an amazing time for just walking and breathing in fresh air, watching the beauties of nature and even have ride on paddle boat on the calm water of the lake.
Midday: Immersion into Organizational Culture and History
12:00 PM — Scenic Drive on the Hindon Elevated Road
Among the day’s joyful moments was driving along the under the Hindon Elevated Road. From the designing of this edifice of architecture, one could get mesmerizing vantage view of the city of Ghaziabad. Such an angle may seem daunting but it provided an interesting view of the city.
13.00–14.00: Culinary Delights at Sethi’s Delicacy
My lunch lead me to Sethi’s Delicacy restaurant for its reputation of its rich butter chicken. Their dishes were really delicious and it was comfortable with warm lights which were suitable for making us regain energy. — The pleasant food was relished to the last drop.
Afternoon: Retail Therapy and More
2:30 PM — Shopping Hayun at Pacific Mall
The afternoon was spent basically shopping at Pacific Mall. I strolled through the stores and found not only fashionable clothing and accessories from worldwide famous companies along with Dodgem, but also typical native crafts. Getting a drink at the food court after the shopping sprees was the icing on the cake.
4:00 PM — Shop at Shipra Mall
I decided to go to another shopping mall but this time, the Shipra Mall. There was no dull moment due to the multiplicity of stores and lovely cafés. I had a couple of hours’ respite and decided to have a ice cream and a cup of coffee.
Evening: Spa Service for Stress Free Heath and Tasty Food
6:00 PM — Get Relaxed at Swarna Jayanti Park
Thus, as the day seemed to be coming to an end, I was in Swarna Jayanti Park. All entities of the residence such as gardens and pathways for walking were well maintained and ideal for an evening walk. This was made even more beautiful by the small lake nearby and for awhile I was thinking on taking a boat ride.
7.30 pm — Take a bite with a view feeling at The Terrace Grill
Dinner was truly delicious that served at The Terrace Grill. The rooftop restaurant that was provided had some great scenery and had this very romantic feel to it while eating. There was variation in the type of foods that was on offer; Indian and international recipes were on the menu and each dish was tastier than the other.
Night: This is Flexibility of Comfort and Convenience.
9 P.M. — Night’s Lodging at an Hourly Hotel
To complete my day I didn’t get a proper hotel, instead went to one of the numerous hotels in Ghaziabad. Such options of flexible accommodation were quite suitable for such a short visit, as they offered everything I required and expected of a comfortable and convenient place to spend the night before the next trip.
Conclusion:
My day in Ghaziabad was a perfect blend of history, culture, nature, and modernity. From serene temples and lush parks to bustling malls and exquisite dining, every moment was filled with discovery and delight. With the added convenience of hourly hotels in Ghaziabad, I had the flexibility to make the most of my time in the city.
